Blood Tree Literature!
Confession: I've been holding a project a little close to my chest. But today it publishes, so I'm ready to shout it from the rooftops!!!
I am honored to join the masthead of Blood Tree Literature!!! You may recall a previous blog post gushing about how impressive founder Brantlee Reid and her dynamite literary magazine is - yes, it's that lit mag! Meet your new Poetry Editor: me! Also onboarding are Chantelle Mitchell and Madeleine Sardina (both of whom I've also praised on here), editing for Hybrid and Fiction respectively.
Today we unveil Issue 05: Threads. We asked for your connections, roots, reparations, experiments...and you delivered! Literature includes hybrid pieces by Fern Angel Beattie and Genelle Chaconas; fiction by Rachel Unger, James S. Kendall, and Ruvym Gilman; and poetry by Samantha Malay, Evan J. Cutts, Taylor D'Amico, Laura Heckel, and Ann E. Michael. Our featured artist is fashion designer and model Sydney Lee Duncan - who I went to high school with and adore dearly!
